Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The team from the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan has claimed second place at the prestigious international military competition "Cambrian Patrol" held in the United Kingdom.

This competition, which has been running for 60 years, gathers military reconnaissance units from around the world to test their combat skills and endurance in conditions similar to real combat operations.

According to the Dunyo agency, this year’s event took place from 4 to 7 October in Wales, featuring 100 teams from 30 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, France, India, Germany, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Italy, and others.

Each team covered a route of over 70 kilometers, facing various natural and tactical obstacles. Participants performed combat tasks every 8 to 10 kilometers under conditions of chemical and biological threats, carried out assault operations, and navigated challenging terrains.

In their subgroup, which included 13 teams, Uzbekistan’s military personnel confidently secured first place. Throughout all stages, they successfully traversed contaminated areas, showcasing high proficiency in tactical operations and finishing among the leaders.

As a result of the competition, Uzbekistan’s team was awarded silver medals.
