The volume of exports of Uzbekistan made up US$13.045 billion and the volume of imports reached US$8.8 billion in 2010.
Unbalance in foreign trade was 148.2% versus 124.7% in the corresponding period of the previous year.
According to clarified data of the State Property Committee, exports of Uzbekistan to the CIS states grew by 50.4% year-on-year in 2010 to US$5.898 billion. The exports with other countries fell by 9% to US$7.146 billion.
The volume of imports of Uzbekistan with the CIS countries made up US$3.526 billion in 2010, which decreased by 13.8% year-on-year. Imports of Uzbekistan with other trade partners decreased by 1.4% to US$5.274 billion in 2010.
Current account surplus made up US$4.245 billion in 2010, including US$2.373 billion with the CIS countries and US$1.872 billion with other foreign countries.
In the reporting period, share of the CIS countries in Uzbekistan’s trade turnover made up 43.1% (37.8% in 2009) and other states – 56.9% (62.2%).
Share of other countries in exports of Uzbekistan fell from 66.7% in 2009 to 54.8% in 2010, the share of the CIS countries grew from 33.3% to 45.2%.
Share of the CIS countries in imports of Uzbekistan decreased to 43.3% (40.1% in 2009) and other countries rose to 59.9% (56.7%).
