According to preliminary data, the gross domestic product of Uzbekistan increased by 8.5%. The committee said that the GDP rose twice compared to 2000. Over half (52.5%) of GDP fell to share of small businesses and private entrepreneurship.
The committee underlined that that Uzbekistan posted 8.3% growth of industrial output, 12% - production of consumer goods, 6.8% - agriculture production, 9.2% - investments to fixed capital, 8.1% - construction works.
The cargo shipments rose by 9.9% and passenger transportation increased by 6.2% in 2010. The committee said that retail trade turnover grew by 14.7% and paid services – 13.4%.
Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan grew by 3%, exports rose by 10.8% and imports decreased by 6.8%. Current account surplus grew by US$1.9 billion to US$4.2 billion.
