Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry urges citizens to exercise caution amid protests in Nepal

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued an appeal to its citizens in Nepal in connection with the ongoing mass protests.

According to the MFA, a curfew has been imposed in the capital Kathmandu as well as in several other cities. Reports indicate clashes and casualties. In this regard, citizens are strongly advised to strictly follow the instructions of the Nepalese authorities, avoid crowded areas, stay away from protest sites, and fully comply with local laws and regulations.

In case of emergencies, citizens may contact the Consular Section of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi via the 24-hour hotline: +91 94994 85962 (Telegram/WhatsApp).

“We urge our citizens to exercise heightened caution and strictly observe safety measures to avoid potential risks to life and health,” the MFA statement reads.
