Uzbekistan’s external debt reaches US$64.1 billion
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s external debt totaled US$64.1 billion by the end of 2024, according to data released by the country’s Central Bank.
The regulator reported that external debt accounted for 55.7% of the nation’s GDP. Of this amount, public debt stood at nearly US$33.9 billion, equivalent to 29.5% of GDP.
Meanwhile, corporate external debt in Uzbekistan exceeded US$30.2 billion.
