Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 January, an International Scientific Cultural Forum “Heritage of the Great Silk Road as a bridge between Uzbekistan and Germany” kicked off in Berlin.
The event was held on the eve of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Within the framework of the forum, the opening ceremony of the exhibition of album books of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in World Collections project was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Berlin.
The highlight of the forum was the presentation of illustrated book-album “Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in Germany’s collections” with the welcoming speech of the President of Uzbekistan. This book-album will go down in the history of Uzbekistan as the first popular science book using modern multimedia technologies, which can not only be read, but also viewed on smartphones in specially prepared video in 3 languages, as well as study artifacts in 3D format.
At the event, leading scientists, experts, art historians of Germany told about historical collections of the great Uzbek art in the museums of Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig and Stuttgart.
A gala evening “Uzbekistan as the heart of the Great Silk Road” will be held within the media forum. 150 participants and guests of the evening, including politicians, scientists, media workers of Germany, will present the results of Uzbekistan – Germany cooperation in the field of culture and art.
