Uzbekistan’s budget surplus for 2009 could come to 0.1% of GDP, against planned deficit of 1%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan’s state budget for 2009 could produce a surplus coming to 0.1% of GDP against an approved deficit of 1% of GDP, the Parliamentary Committee on the Budget and Economic Reform told Interfax.

Budget revenue is forecast to top 10.985 trillion soums while expenditures should come to around 10.95 trillion soums.

Direct tax revenue is expected to account for 49.8% of budget revenue, up from 47.1% in 2008. Indirect taxes will account for 26.8% (26.6%).

Expenditures for social development and welfare will come to around 56% of budget resources.
