The event was organized by the Embassy of the US in Uzbekistan and Institute for Strategic and Interegional Research under the President of Uzbekistan. It was attended by representatives of ministries and departments, scientific-research and educational establishments, experts, and scholars of two states.

During the roundtable, they exchanged opinion on current state and perspectives of development of the Uzbek-US cooperation in politics, trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as security.

The participants highly rated development of the relations between Uzbekistan and the United States. It was noted that Uzbekistan and the USA signed a declaration of strategic partnership and foundations of cooperation. The participants considered implementation of declaration and perspectives of deepening and expanding bilateral relations.

Ambassador of the USA to Uzbekistan George Krol underlined that the deliration includes all directions of development of cooperation between two states. He said that the sides jointly achieved a lot, but should continue this work.

At the meeting, it was noted that the priority directions of expanding economic relations is to attract the US companies to such areas as machinery, metal processing, energy, oil and gas, chemistry, electronics and mining sectors.
