Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the United Arab Emirates, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the renowned IFFCO Group from the UAE. This agreement will lay the foundation for the implementation of new, promising projects.

The agreement, signed with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture, Ibrahim Abdurakhmonov, aims to strengthen agricultural cooperation between the two countries and covers several key areas.

Specifically, the agenda focused on important issues such as combating product counterfeiting and protecting intellectual property, increasing import volumes, attracting modern technologies, developing educational programs, and implementing additional industrial projects.

According to the Memorandum, IFFCO Group plans to export strategic food products to Uzbekistan annually, including vegetable oil and flour, amounting to up to 10,000 tons. Furthermore, strict measures will be adopted to prevent the counterfeiting of IFFCO products.

The company will also establish a Food Security Center in Uzbekistan. Additionally, in accordance with the agreements reached, new projects on the production of tomato paste, vegetable oils, and other food products will be implemented in the future.

During the visit, a series of meetings were held, where discussions focused on approaches that meet international standards, as well as long-term cooperation. The parties reached agreements to further expand their partnership.
