Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan U23 lost to Mali in a friendly match, which was held in Tashkent.

The match ended with a score of 1:2 in favor of the Mali team.

Diarra Tiamoko opened the score in the 48th minute. Ten minutes later, after a corner kick, Khusain Norchaev equalized the score. However, in the 89th minute, Wilson Lassa scored the winning goal from the penalty spot.

On 7 June 2024, the national teams of Uzbekistan and Mali played a 1:1 draw in the first friendly matches.

Friendly matches with Mali were held as part of the preparation of the Uzbekistan national team for the Olympics in Paris.
