Uzbekistan U-16 claims third place in Qatari tournament
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan U-16, led by Dilshod Nuraliev, claimed the third place in an international friendly tournament, which was held in Qatar.
In the third-place match, Nuraliev side defeated local team Aspire 95. The sides met in the group stage and Qatari team won 2-1.
In the third-place match, the sides played 1:1 draw after full time. Uzbekistan U-16 claimed the victory in penalty shootouts – 4:2.
Dilshod Nuraliev said that he is satisfied with tournament. He said that Aspire academy is the powerful school in Qatar.
Speaking about future plans, Nuraliev said that the squad will gather in Tashkent on 19 March 2011 and will head to the United Arab Emirates to play friendly matches with the UAE teams.
