Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Uzbek-Turkish business forum was held in Ankara, where representatives of ministries, departments, large companies and entrepreneurs from both countries were present.
Together with the delegation of the government of Uzbekistan, a delegation of member enterprises of the Uzcharmsanoat association, led by the acting chairman of the association Akbar Sultanov, was also present at the forum.
At this forum, which included four sessions, the prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey, as well as the implementation of new joint projects and expansion of export opportunities were discussed.
Akbar Sultanov spoke at a session dedicated to the implementation of joint investment projects in the field of industry and geology, with a report on the leather industry of Uzbekistan. His speech provided information about opportunities for foreign investors, tax and customs benefits, as well as specialized industrial zones and ready-made investment projects in this area.
Programs and joint projects of the two countries in the field of the leather industry were also presented, as well as activities to train specialists for this industry. The “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibition also opened at the forum in Turkey.
