Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – In line with the order of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan sent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
Humanitarian aid is intended for residents of Afghanistan affected by severe flooding. This was reported by the press service of the khokimiyat of the Surkhandarya region. The cargo was delivered to Balkh province.
Some 48 tons of flour, 22 tons of rice, 100 thousand cans of canned meat (stew), 44 tons of pasta, 25 thousand liters of vegetable oil were delivered to Afghanistan. The humanitarian aid also included 100 thousand packages of instant noodles, as well as 100 specially equipped tents for 10 people and 96 water storage containers with a capacity of 1000 liters.
The transfer of the cargo to the Afghan side took place on the territory of the Astras company in Hairatan. Official representatives of Uzbekistan and the Afghan province of Balkh took part in the ceremony.
