Uzbekistan tops group in AFC Futsal Championship qualification round

Uzbekistan ended their AFC Futsal Championship 2014 South and Central Region qualifiers campaign with three wins in as many match as they recorded a convincing 5-1 win over Kyrgyzstan in their last match on Thursday.
First half doubles from in-form Artur Yunusov and Dilshod Irsaliev put the Uzbeks in comfort zone by the half-time with 4-0 lead. Shakzod Buriev added one more in the 27th minute to make it 5-0 for Uzbekistan for whom the match had an academic significance.
In contrast, Kyrgyzstan were looking to avoid a big defeat as they were looking to peep Turkmenistan on goal difference. Kyrgyzstan managed to stop future goals and scored their own in the 37th minute to seal a place in the finals as the third team of the qualifiers with two-goal superiority over Turkmenistan.
Alongside Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan also made it into the finals to be held in Vietnam next year by edging Turkmenistan 5-4 earlier on the day.
