Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan and the German company DB Engineering Consulting Operations Group have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at training specialists for Deutsche Bahn.

Deutsche Bahn is the largest railway operator in Germany and a joint-stock company with 100% government ownership. The company’s total revenue amounts to 76.303 billion euros.

As part of the agreement, Uzbek citizens who aspire to work in Germany in the fields of transport and engineering will be able to undergo training from German specialists at vocational educational institutions managed by the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction and the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

"There is a high demand for specialists in the railway, bus, and metro sectors in Germany. We are ready to provide training according to German standards in Uzbekistan and employ candidates who successfully pass professional and language exams within the Deutsche Bahn network," emphasized Niko Varbanov, a representative of the German side.
