Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will subsidize the construction of cable cars and the construction of accommodation facilities with prefabricated structures.

On 19 June 2020, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On additional measures for the development of the tourism sector with strict observance of the requirements of the enhanced sanitary and epidemiological safety regime”.

Now there are 7 cableways in Uzbekistan. To increase their number, a mechanism has been established for subsidizing investors when the cableway is put into operation by 31 December 2023, at least 500 m long

According to the document, for every half a kilometer, 1 billion soums will be covered by the Tourism Development Fund.

It is also planned to provide compensation for the construction of accommodation facilities with prefabricated structures (yurtas, containers, sandwich panels) for typical projects in rural areas.

The regime of such subsidies will last until reaching 50 thousand seats or until 31 December 2023. The amount of coverage will be 5 million soums per place.
