Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new master’s program in "Legal Support for Cybersecurity" will be launched at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This initiative became possible due to Presidential resolution No. 17, from 22 January 2025, aimed at preparing specialists to combat cybercrime.
New educational initiatives starting from the 2025/2026 academic year:
Bachelor’s Degree at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy: Specialization in "Combating Crime in the Digital Technology Sector" (under the "Law" field, 4 years of study).
Master’s Degree at the Law Enforcement Academy: Specialization in "Legal Support for Cybersecurity" (1 year of study).
Other changes at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy (by July 1, 2025):
Creation of the Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics Faculty: The faculty will include departments for cyber law, exact sciences, digital technologies, information security, and forensic expertise.
Distance Learning Courses in Digital Forensics: For investigators, prosecutors, and law enforcement personnel, available through the information and educational portal of the Law Enforcement Academy.
These measures are aimed at enhancing the fight against crimes in the digital sphere by preparing highly qualified professionals.
