Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the bill "On Amendments and Additions to the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was discussed and adopted in its second reading. The bill aims to improve the efficiency of public transportation.

The document establishes responsibility for drivers who violate the rules of movement on lanes designated for public transport vehicles.

Exceptions are made for vehicles used by emergency and special services, as well as for cases where vehicles enter a roundabout or circular road within 50 meters of an entrance or exit to adjacent areas, provided it does not hinder public transport movement.

The bill also excludes penalties for moving to the far-right lane for picking up or dropping off passengers.

The adoption of this bill is aimed at enhancing the quality and convenience of passenger services, ensuring the stability of public transport operations, and improving road safety.
