Uzbekistan to spend 1.65 trln. soums for construction and reconstruction of kindergartens in 2019

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will allocate 1.654 trillion soums for construction and reconstruction of 447 kindergartens. The figure is 448 billion soums more compared to 2018.

The major part of the funds will be used to construct and reconstruct kindergartens in the regions of Uzbekistan.

It is important to note that in subsequent years an increase in the work on the reconstruction of vacant pre-school buildings is expected. In 2019, it is planned to reconstruct 53 empty buildings and structures in order to reduce budgetary funds and increase the enrollment of children in preschool education.

It is worth recalling that in 2018 the number of reconstructed pre-school educational institutions increased almost threefold compared to 2017: from 105 to 298, the number of new construction projects: from 2 to 40. In 2019, it is planned to increase the work done in this direction 1.5 times. The number of preschool educational institutions in 2018 compared with last year increased from 5,211 to 7,104.
