Uzbekistan to participate the CIS FMs Summit

The Executive Committee of the CIS said that the agenda of the meeting includes issues related to multilateral cooperation within the CIS.

Foreign ministers will exchange opinion on actual international issues and developing cooperation within the organization.

The ministers will consider draft decisions of the Council of the heads of the state on announcement of 2015 as the year of veterans, on single jubilee awards, as well as plan of main events on preparation and celebration of the 70th anniversary of victory at the World War II.

The CIS Foreign Ministers will also discuss issues of implementing of the inter-governmental programme “Cultural capitals of the Commonwealth”, the drafts of the strategy on interaction in tourism till 2020 and plan of the events for 2014-2015 within the strategy of international youth cooperation.

The sides will also consider a draft agreement on education of the inter-governmental council on fighting corruption and mid-term prpgramm of joint fight against crime, terrorism, human trafficking and drug trafficking.

The CIS FMs summit will be held on the eve of the Council of the heads of the state of the CIS, which will take place in Minsk on 25 October 2013.
