Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In April 2025, Uzbekistan’s national team will make its debut at the Ice Hockey World Championship, according to the press service of the Uzbekistan Ice Hockey Federation.

The team will participate in the IV Division matches, which will be held from 13 to 19 April in Armenia. Uzbekistan’s opponents will include the national teams of Armenia, Iran, Kuwait, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Additionally, Uzbekistan’s U18 youth team will also make its first appearance at the World Championship, competing in one of the groups in Division III. These matches will take place from 28 February to 6 March 2025, in Bangkok.

The youth team will compete against teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkmenistan, Thailand, South Africa, and Luxembourg.
