President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a video conference on 22 February 2018, which was dedicated to a critical analysis of effectiveness of measures taken to increase the flow of foreign tourists, further development of domestic tourism, and improvement and expansion of tourism services.

During the meeting, it was underlined that there is need to promote the investment, trade and tourism potential of Uzbekistan under a single brand, coordinating the activities of the relevant structures.

The National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications have been instructed to organize an international television channel with round-the-clock broadcasting.

The new channel will promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and broadcast various interesting tourism programs.
