President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On further measures to optimize the order of entry of foreign citizens into the Republic of Uzbekistan” on 4 July.

Uzbek elader instructed by October 2018 to prepare proposals on the introduction of additional visa regimes for various categories of foreign citizens visiting Uzbekistan.

In particular, Uzbekistan intends to introduce a Silkroad visa for tourists traveling through the countries of the Silk Road with the possibility of recognizing visa marks of other countries.

For natives of Uzbekistan and members of their families, a five-year Vatandosh visa will be introduced. Large foreign investors can get a 10-year visa Golden Visa.

The President instructed by March 2019 to prepare proposals on expanding the list of countries for citizens of which the order of visa-free transit entry, temporary stay and departure from Uzbekistan is introduced.
