Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and JETEX, a leading UAE-based company.
The agreement was concluded during the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United Arab Emirates. It was formalized following a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport Ilhom Makhkamov and JETEX founder Adel Mardini.
The memorandum outlines the development of promising civil aviation projects, including an investment initiative at the “Tashkent-East” airport.
The primary goal of the partnership is to establish a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) service center under a public-private partnership model. The center will offer maintenance, sales, and storage services for business-class aircraft, as well as aero-taxi and VIP taxi services.
These initiatives are expected to contribute to the growth of the tourism sector and enhance services for high-net-worth clients.
The project will create more than 200 highly skilled jobs and promote the development of Uzbekistan’s business aviation infrastructure.
Founded in 2005, JETEX operates in over 50 locations worldwide, serving regions across the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
FBO (Fixed Base Operator) refers to a comprehensive service for aircraft, including refueling, parking, hangar storage, technical maintenance, and repair.
