Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan, in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 15 February 2023, a competition for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "President Tech Award" will be held annually for the title of the best startup projects in the direction of digital technologies with a total prize fund of US$1 million.

According to the Regulations, from May 2023, the competition will be held annually in the following 5 main and 1 special areas:

artificial intelligence technologies;

digital technologies in the social sphere;

information technology and cybersecurity technologies;

entrepreneurship and financial technologies;

computer and mobile game programs.

Citizens of Uzbekistan under the age of 30 participate in the main areas of the competition as part of one team (3-8 people).

In the special direction, both foreign citizens working in resident organizations of the Technological Park of Software Products and Information Technologies, and stateless persons (3-5 people) can participate.

The winners of the competition are determined in the following order:

in the main areas - by public voting on a special portal;

in a special area - organizations providing services in the field of information and communication technologies.

The winners of the competition are awarded:

In 5 main areas:

For 1st place – US$100,000;

2nd place - US$50,000;

3rd place - US$30,000;

In a special direction (one) - US$100,000.

No money is charged for participation in the competition.
