Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan will not increase the corporate tax and value-added tax (VAT) rates until 1 January 2028, according to a decree by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev titled “On Measures to Ensure Equal Conditions for Entrepreneurs and a Fair Competitive Environment.”
This decision was made following a dialogue between the President and leading entrepreneurs on 20 December.
The freeze on tax rates aims to support businesses, create conditions for fair competition, and reduce the share of the shadow economy.
Currently, the base corporate tax rate is 15%.
Residents of Uzbekistan pay a 5% tax on dividend income, while foreign citizens and companies face a higher corporate tax rate.
The VAT rate in Uzbekistan is 12%, with a zero rate applied to certain utilities and export operations.
