These two laws will be developed within the programme on development and submission of laws and other legal-normative acts for 2012 to Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, which was approved by the governmental resolution.

Law “On heating supply” will be directed at determining main directions of further development of heating supply through modernization of main funds, introduction of modern economic and energy saving technologies, effective and rational use of raw and financial resources, improve efficiency of heat supply enterprises, quality of heating services.

The draft law will envisage legal regulation of relations in production, transfer, distribution and consumption of heating energy in heating supply systems. It will also set authorities of bodies in the system and help to introduce new technologies.

The adoption of law will allow to regulate relations in heating supply, tariff regulation, connection to heating networks, etc.

The document will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers in May 2012 and Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis in June 2012.

The resolution said that law “On gas supply” is developed to determine legal, economic and organizational issues in energy supply.

The draft law is directed at creating legal base for reliable gas supply to population of Uzbekistan and production capacities, achieving social and economic level of gasification in Uzbekistan, sustainable functioning and development of gas supply system, etc.

The law will help for further safety of gas distribution network, rational use of gas, and inviolability of gas transport system.

The document will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers in August 2012 and Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis in September 2012.
