Uzbekistan to adopt an artificial intelligence development strategy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A draft Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the strategy for the development of artificial intelligence in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2021-2022" is posted on the website "Discussion of draft regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

According to the characteristics of scientists, artificial intelligence is an artificial intelligent system that performs logical and creative functions. Artificial intelligence is very relevant in the current age of information; with its help, humanity finds solutions to global problems of the 21st century by opening up new opportunities in science. It also increases the possibility of quality services in medicine, education, energy, agriculture, urban planning and all other areas.

According to the document, it is envisaged to create an online database in the state language, which will be regularly updated based on structured data to obtain knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence by the population, especially young people.

It will contain information:

- basic concepts of AI;

- the scope of AI;

- news in the field of AI;

- conducting short free online courses in the state language;

- coverage of the AI strategy;

- formation of an online platform for the exchange of innovative ideas.

A concept will be developed for the systematic development of STEM educational areas and research activities in the country until 2030.

The project also stipulates the development of a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on the creation of a "National Center for Research and Development of Artificial Intelligence" at the Scientific and Practical Center for the Implementation of Innovative Developments under the Ministry of Innovative Development.
