Uzbekistan tightens order on recruiting foreign citizens to work
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan tightened order on recruiting foreign citizens to work. New order enters into force on 30 September 2011.

Minister of Labour and Social Welfare of Uzbekistan signed a decree to introduce changes and amendments to instruction on order of implementation of “Regulation on order of attracting and use of foreign work force in Uzbekistan”, which was registered by Justice Ministry on 20 September.

In line with the document, the Agency on external labour migration under the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Uzbekistan will issue permission for attracting and using foreign work force in the country.

The list of documents, required for obtaining permission, remained the same, but the Ministry updated templates for obtaining permission.

Now, the agency will consider submitted documents within 30 days, instead of previous 15 days.

The document said that foreign specialists needs to submit two images, copy of passport with visa, document, confirming their education and qualification, banking document on payment of state duty, etc.

The document said that if the foreign specialists are in Uzbekistan, the documents are accepted if they possess one of following visas – Visa E, Business Visa B-1, B-2 or Service Visa S-3.
