Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national football team led by Hector Cuper played a draw in a friendly match against Syria in Tashkent.

The match ended with the score 1-1.

Marat Bikmayev opened the score on 62 minutes from the penalty. Eighteen minutes later, Omar Al Soma netted the equalizer.

This was the first match of Uzbekistan national team under guidance of Hector Cuper from Argentina.

On 11 September, Uzbekistan will play another friendly match against Iran in Tashkent.
