Joint committee of Uzbekistan and South Korea on cooperation met in Tashkent to discuss cooperation of the countries in energy and natural resources, UzA reported.

The representatives of ministries and departments, oil and energy companies and firms of two states, banking sector participated in the work of the session.

Galina Saidova, first deputy economy minister, said the cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea are developing gradually in all spheres.

Kim Jong Hvan [transliterated] Vice Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy of South Korea, said the cooperation between states is based on friendship and mutual respect and it is developing in all spheres.

The committee discussed issues of expansion of relations in such sectors as alternative energy, exploration of oil and gas deposits in Uzbekistan and other issues of mutual interest.
