Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Uzbekistan participated in the annual conference of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (AIDI). The delegation was led by Abrorkhodja Turdaliev, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
During the conference, productive meetings were held with colleagues from South Korea and India, focusing on the exchange of experience in deposit insurance. A key event was the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Croatian Deposit Guarantee Agency.
Participation in the sessions of the Eurasian and Asia-Pacific regional committees of AIDI allowed the Uzbek delegation to present significant changes in the national deposit guarantee system and to adopt best international practices.
Of particular note was the meeting with the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC), where prospects for joint work on improving deposit payout mechanisms in Uzbekistan were discussed.
As part of the transition of the Deposit Guarantee Fund to the paybox-plus system, negotiations were held with international partners with advanced experience in deposit insurance. The discussions focused on optimizing transactional processes and further developing the system, leading to valuable recommendations.
