During the meeting, the Uzbek side informed the guests on reforms and development of tourism industry in Uzbekistan, development of tourism infrastructure. The Turkish side was informed on development of the concept on developing tourism for 2017-2021.

Uzbek official noted high level of the Uzbek-Russian relations in tourism sphere. He noted that Uzbekistan created favourable conditions for Russian tourists and proposed to activate cooperation with the Russian tourism industry.

Russian envoy highly rated reforms in tourism sphere in Uzbekistan. It was noted that Uzbekistan has huge potential to develop alternative types of tourism such as medical and gastronomic tourism.

The Uzbek side invited the Russian tour companies attend International Uzbek Tourism Exhibition “World of Leisure” in April 2017. It was stated that Uzbekistan will attend MITT exhibition in Moscow and hold talks to boost bilateral cooperation in tourism sector.

The sides considered issues of attracting more tourists to Uzbekistan and Russian investors to projects directed at developing tourism infrastructure.
