Thus, the import of the Uzbek gas to Tajikistan was reduced by 60%, the report said.
Now Tajikistan is receiving 12,500 cubic meters of the Uzbek gas per hour, or about 400,000 cubic meters of gas per day, the report added.
The reason for reducing gas supplies was Tajikistan’s US$17.4 million debt to the Uztransgaz (Uzbek gas transportation), the report concluded.
