Uzbekistan receives remittances for US$1.78bn from Russia in 2Q
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total volume of remittances between Uzbekistan and Russia made up US$1.787 billion in the second quarter of 2014, which rose by 1.83% year-on-year, the Central Bank of Russia said.

According to data of the Central Bank, the volume of remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan reached US$1.63 billion in the second half of 2014 against US$1.62 billion in the same period of 2013.

The average transaction sum of the remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan was US$576 in the second quarter of 2014 against US$555 in the same period of 2013 (+3.78%).

The volume of remittances from Uzbekistan to Russia rose from US$135 million in April-June 2012 to US$157 million in the second quarter of 2014. The growth made up 16.3%.

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan said that the average sum of one transaction from Uzbekistan to Russia grew from US$1,903 to US$1,929 in the reporting period.

In the first quarter of 2014, total volume of remittances between Uzbekistan and Russia made up US$1.048 billion, which fell by 9.5% year-on-year.

The Central Bank of Russia monitors such money transfer systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, Aziya Express, ALLYUR, Blitz, Bystraya Pochta, Zolotaya Korona and LIDER, as well as Pochta Rossii.
