Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a resolution approving the ratification of an international agreement on cooperation in the digital economy among the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

The agreement was signed on 6 November 2024, in Bishkek during the OTS Summit. Its goal is to strengthen trade ties between member countries through the development of e-commerce and to enhance Uzbekistan's collaboration with partners in line with economic priorities and modern technological opportunities.

The agreement covers key areas of digital economy cooperation, including personal data protection, the development of electronic payments and invoices, consumer rights protection, and the expansion of mutual trade through innovative technologies.

Uzbekistan’s National Agency for Advanced Projects has been designated as the responsible body for implementing the agreement’s provisions.
