Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law ratifying the "Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan on Common Directions of Youth Policy," which was signed on 14 September 2023, in Dushanbe.
The initiative to develop this agreement was proposed by the President of Uzbekistan at the IV Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State held on 21 July 2022, in Cholpon-Ata.
The document outlines the organization of mass youth events, including projects, camps, interstate actions, seminars, discussion clubs, round tables, forums, and conferences aimed at discussing relevant issues of youth policy in the region.
This law opens new prospects for developing partnerships in youth policy among Central Asian countries, facilitating enhanced cooperation and interaction among the region’s youth.
