Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Uzbekistan ranked 62nd in the World Bank’s international "Statistical Performance Indicators" (SPI) ranking for 2023.

The "Statistical Performance Indicators" (SPI) ranking, developed by the World Bank using an updated methodology, assesses the statistical potential of countries, their achievements, and reforms in the development of national statistical systems.

In 2023, Uzbekistan scored 80.3 points, improving its position by 17 points compared to the previous year. Within the CIS, Uzbekistan ranked 4th.

Key factors contributing to the country’s rise in this ranking include:

The establishment of National Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) indicators based on the UN’s global indicators.

Ensuring maximum openness and transparency of official statistical information for users both domestically and internationally, including reflecting data on socio-economic development in international statistical databases.

The full implementation of the modern System of National Accounts "SNA-2008."
