Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan ranked last among the countries of Central Asia and 57th in the world in terms of the cheapness of gasoline, according to Global Petrol Prices as of 1 January 2024.
It should be noted that GlobalPetrolPrices compared the price of AI-95 gasoline.
The price of gasoline in Uzbekistan is set at US$1.14 per liter, which is lower than the global average price of US$1.30.
However, compared to Central Asian countries, the price of fuel in Uzbekistan remains high.
The lowest price in the region was recorded in Turkmenistan - US$0.428 per liter, which allowed the country to take 8th place in the world ranking of fuel prices.
The ranking also includes the following Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan (11th place, US$0.534), Kyrgyzstan (25th place, US$0.801) and Afghanistan (48th place, US$1,059).
