Uzbekistan produces industrial goods for 655.8 trillion soums in 2023

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During January-December 2023, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 655.8 trillion soums, the industrial production index compared to the same period last year amounted to 6.0%.

Today, 69.4 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 11.8 thousand (17.0% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent city, 7.8 thousand (11.2%) - in Ferghana, 7.3 thousand (10.5%) - Tashkent, 6.2 thousand (8.9%) - Samarkand and 5.5 thousand (7.9%) - Andijan region.

The analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita in January-December 2023 showed a significant excess of the national average (18 011.0 thousand soums) in Navoi region (95 361.7 thousand soums), Tashkent city (41 228.9 thousand soums) and Tashkent region (34 990.5 thousand soums).

In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (84.4%), the volume of production of which amounted to 553.3 trillion soums.

In January-December 2023, the largest share in the total volume of industrial production in the republic was in Tashkent city (18.9%), Tashkent (16.1%), Navoi (15.5%), Andijan (11.2%), Ferghana (5.6%) regions.

Compared to the same period in 2022, the average industrial production in the republic increased due to enterprises in the Jizzakh (107.4%), Andijan (107.3%) and Namangan (107.2%) regions.

The mining industry is a set of industries engaged in the exploration and extraction of minerals, as well as their primary processing and production of semi–finished products.

The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-December 2023 amounted to 55.2 trillion soums, or 8.4% of the total volume of industry.

Manufacturing enterprises in January-December 2023 produced products amounting to 553.3 trillion soums, or 84.4% of the total volume of industry.

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries amounted to 1.4% (2.1% in January-December 2022), medium–hightech - 24.8% (23.1%), medium-low–tech - 37.5% (36.8%) and low–tech - 36.3% (38.0%).

In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, installation of machinery and equipment, production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, and other finished metal products amounted to 22.4% (the index of physical volume by January–December 2022 amounted to 107.4%), metallurgical industry - 22.8% (the index of physical volume by January-December 2022 amounted to 106.4%), enterprises producing textiles, clothing, and leather products – 17.4% (the index of physical volume by January-December 2022 was 107.2%).

In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing food, beverages and tobacco products amounted to 15.6% (the index of physical volume by January-December 2022 was 105.9%), enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products – 8.2% (the index of physical volume by January-December 2022 was 99.8%).

In January-December 2023, 1 333.1 thousand tons of gasoline were produced in the republic (an increase of 6.0% compared to the corresponding period of 2022), 553.5 thousand tons of cotton yarn (a decrease of 5.5%), 263.0 million liters of beer (an increase of 21.0%) and 1 128.0 thousand tons of soft wheat flour and spelt (decrease by 35.1%).

In January-December 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 3 541 trucks (by the corresponding period of 2022, the volume of production decreased by 13.7%).

In the automotive industry of the country in January-December 2023, 118 093 “Cobalt” cars were produced (the growth rate increased by 16.2% compared to the same period in 2022), 9 829 – “Chery” (an increase of 23.3 t.), 15 036 - KIA (an increase of 2.5 t.), 82 133 – "Gentra" (decrease by 5.7%), 546 – "Spark" (decrease by 96.2%) 89 154 – "Damas" (increase by 23.4%), 25 586 specialized passenger cars (increase by 22.2%), 48 082 – "Tracker" (increase by 5.3 t.), 30 596 – "Onix", 91 – "Exeed" and 134 – "Haval".

In January-December 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 741.6 thousand pieces of pneumatic rubber tires for passenger cars (by January-December 2022, the production volume decreased by 25.9%).

In January-December 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 269.2 thousand units of automobile engines (an increase of 19.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2022).

In January-December 2023, large enterprises of the machine-building industry produced 1 136.6 thousand units of lead batteries for starting piston engines (by the corresponding period of 2022, an increase in production by 23.5% was recorded).

In January-December 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 595.6 thousand units of refrigerators and freezers (by the corresponding period of 2022, a decrease in production by 16.0% was recorded).

The overhaul of technological equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the production figures of the previous year for the production of disodium carbonate (103.2% by January-December 2022) and potassium chloride (100.6%).

In January-December 2023, the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 22.8%, the volume index increased by 6.4%, and the volume of production amounted to 126 302.7 billion soums.

According to the results of January-December 2023, the share of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 5.1%, the index of physical production increased by 11.3%, and the volume of production amounted to 27 965.3 billion soums.

In January-December 2023, the share of food products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 11.8%, the index of physical volume was 106.2%, and the total volume of production was 65 174.7 billion soums.

In January-December 2023, the share of beverage production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3.2%, the volume index was 106.3%, and the volume of production reached 17 968.3 billion soums.

According to the results of January-December 2023, the share of textile production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 12.9%, the physical volume index increased by 6.4%, and the volume of production became 71 121.1 billion soums.

In January-December 2023, the share of clothing production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.1%, and the physical volume index was 109.9%, the volume of production reached 22 478.3 billion soums.

In January-December 2023, the share of chemical products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 6.2%, the index of physical production decreased by 2.0%, and the volume of production amounted to 34 521.6 billion soums.

According to the results of January-December 2023, the share of coke and refined products production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.5%, the volume index increased by 27.1%, and the volume of production amounted to 25 027.1 billion soums.

In January-December 2023, the share of production of rubber and plastic products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.0%, the index of physical volume – 108.8%, the volume of production – 10 895.4 billion soums.

In January-December 2023, the share of electrical equipment production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3.3%, the index of physical production volume was 114.8%, and the volume of production was 18 445.0 billion soums.

In January-December 2023, the share of production of finished metal products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.5%, the index of physical volume was 104.4%, and the volume of production was 13 910.7 billion soums.

In January-December 2023, the share of production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi–trailers in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 13.9%, the index of physical volume - 113.8%, the volume of production reached 77 050.9 billion soums.

The volume of products produced by electricity supply, gas, steam and air conditioning enterprises during the period under review amounted to 44.3 trillion soums (6.7% of the total industry volume).

Compared to the same period in 2022, in January-December 2023, electricity production amounted to 104.3%, heat energy – 91.9%.

The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises in January-December 2023 amounted to 3.0 trillion soums (0.5% of the total industry volume).

Compared to the corresponding period in 2022, in January-December 2023 there was an increase in the production of textile waste by 21.3%, services for the removal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 7.0%, services for emptying, cleaning and treatment of cesspools. pits, settling tanks and septic tanks decreased by 18.3%.

As a result of the measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods in JanuaryDecember 2023 amounted to 189.0 trillion soums and, compared with the corresponding period in 2022, the growth rate reached 107.3%, the share in total industry volume amounted to 28.8%.

In January-December 2023, the republic produced food products worth 70.7 trillion soums.

Compared to the same period in 2022, the indicators of the republican average production of consumer goods were exceeded by enterprises of the Jizzakh region (187.2%), Syrdarya region (109.2%), Andijan region (108.7%).

In the structure of production of consumer goods, the share of food products was 37.4%, non-food products - 62.6%. In January-December 2022, the share of food products in the total volume of consumer goods was 42.4% Production of consumer goods per capita for January-December 2023 in the republic amounted to 5 190.8 thousand soums, including in the Andijan region - 15 335.8 thousand soums, Tashkent city - 13 140.4 thousand soums, Jizzakh region - 7 222.8 thousand soums, Tashkent region - 7 411.3 thousand soums., non-food products - 57.6%.

In the structure of production of consumer goods of the republic in JanuaryDecember 2023, the largest share fell on Andijan region (27.3% of the total volume of consumer goods), Tashkent city (20.8%), Tashkent (11.9%) and Khorezm (6.9%) regions.

In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic in January-December 2023, the largest share fell on Andijan region (41.6% of the total volume of non-food products), Tashkent city (13.7%), as well as Tashkent region (8.7% ) and Jizzakh (8.3%) regions.

In the structure of food production of the republic in January-December 2023, the largest share fell on Tashkent city (32.9% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (17.2%) and Samarkand (7.6%) regions.

During January-December 2023, small businesses produced products worth 176.5 trillion soums, the share of which in total production amounted to 26.9%. For the period from January to December 2022, the share of small businesses in total production amounted to 26.0%.

The development of industrial production in the republic was also facilitated by the implementation of the Program for Localization of Production of Finished Products, Components and Materials, within the framework of which 82.8 trillion were produced under 2 003 projects. soums, exported localized products worth 674.4 million US dollars, created 11 533 new jobs.
