Uzbekistan produces construction materials for 1.7 trln. soums in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Enterprises of construction materials industry produced goods for 1.692 trillion soums in January-June 2013, which grew by 11.9% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The industry increased production of such products as soft roofing materials and insulation (7.2 times compared to January-June 2012), aluminum composite panels (4.3 times), sandwich panels (+34.1%), dry construction mixtures (+48.9%), ceramic tiles for interior wall facing (+33.3%), precast concrete construction (+5.9%), asbestos cement sheets (+4.5%) and cement (+2.4%).

At the same time, the enterprises recorded growth of production of gravel (2.3 times), ready-mixed concrete (2.3 rimes), rubble (2.2 times), kaolin (+41.5%), asphalt (+32.8%), limestone (+29.2%) and gypsum (+49.3%).
