Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan increased electricity generation increased from January to August 2024.

According to data from the State Statistics Agency, 54.43 billion kWh of electricity was produced in the first eight months of 2024, which is a 4.15% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

At the same time, the production of thermal energy decreased by 4.6%, totaling 15.25 million Gcal.

Additionally, during the reporting period, 51.8 million cubic meters of gas were produced from underground coal gasification, which is 6% less than the same period last year.
