Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 August, the first joint online meeting of the Uzbekistan–Poland and Poland–Uzbekistan inter-parliamentary cooperation groups was held in the Senate of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, participants discussed ways to intensify the activities of the inter-parliamentary groups and strengthen parliamentary as well as trade and economic ties. It was noted that, thanks to the political will of the leaders of both countries and their joint efforts, relations between Uzbekistan and Poland have taken on a dynamic character in recent years, covering a wide range of areas.

The importance of further developing cooperation in trade, investment, exports, transport, agriculture, science, culture, tourism, and migration was underlined. Special emphasis was placed on deepening contacts between the business communities of both countries and expanding opportunities for joint projects.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a “roadmap” with concrete measures aimed at advancing inter-parliamentary cooperation, expanding the activities of the inter-parliamentary groups, and facilitating the exchange of experience to strengthen bilateral relations.
