Uzbekistan plans to fiscalize aggregators and taxi services in all regions - Tax Committee of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Tax Committee of Uzbekistan spoke about the measures taken to regulate the taxi and passenger transportation market, taking into account the goals of expanding the tax base and reducing the level of the shadow economy.

Since the beginning of December of this year, the Yandex Go service, which became a tax resident, began to localize its activities in Uzbekistan. Now each trip is accompanied by the issuance of a fiscal receipt, which provides integration of the service with the tax authorities’ system.

According to the data provided, from 1 to 6 December, 800,500 fiscal checks were issued for a total amount of 13.5 billion soums.

However, certain problems remain, in particular, the impossibility of issuing a receipt when paying in cash for a taxi ride through Yandex Go and other services.

The Tax Committee has taken steps to address this issue, with plans to soon enable checks to be issued even for cash payments.

MyTaxi and Uklon have also completed technical integration, but have not yet started issuing fiscal receipts.

It is expected that passengers will be able to receive receipts when using these services in the coming days.

It is also planned to fiscalize aggregators and taxi services not only in Tashkent, but in all regions of the country.

Of the total number of fiscal checks issued, 98.8% were generated by legal entities (Yandex Go partners and other taxi services), amounting to 791.1 thousand for a total amount of 13.4 billion soums. The remaining 9,383 checks, amounting to 163.9 million soums, were generated by self-employed persons.

The Tax Committee emphasized that, despite control over the business processes of aggregators and their partners, the implementation of the process of automation and fiscalization in the taxi market should be carried out gradually and carefully, given the importance of this industry for citizens and logistics.
