Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit to Türkiye, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhabov, met with the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
The parties discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, including:
- Increasing trade volumes.
- Expanding investment cooperation.
- Organizing joint projects in the tourism sector.
- The participation of Uzbekistan's Chamber of Commerce in the International Chamber of Commerce and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development.
A key outcome of the meeting was the decision to open the first representative office of Uzbekistan's Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye. The office will be located in the building of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye.
The opening of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce office in Türkiye marks an important step in advancing trade relations between the two countries. It will:
- Strengthen business ties between enterprises in Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
- Expand Uzbekistan’s export potential.
- Create new opportunities for investment cooperation.
In the near future, the organization of mutual business missions, exhibitions, and forums dedicated to fostering cooperation in various sectors of the economy is anticipated.
