Uzbekistan officially suspends its CSTO membership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) adopted decision to suspend membership of Uzbekistan in organization on 19 December 2012.

Members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization satisfied request of Uzbekistan to suspend its membership in the block.

The Government of Uzbekistan adopted decision to suspend its membership in the CSTO in June 2012.

The CSTO also includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
