During the meeting, Liu Peng expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for its support candidacy of China to host Olympic Games in 2008 and Asian Games in 2010.

Liu Peng said that the friendship between China and Uzbekistan has its roots in ancient times and the countries supported each other and work closely in all areas. He added that China and Uzbekistan achieved significant results in various sports and cooperation will be fruitful for each side.

Head of delegation of Uzbekistan said that the relations between two states are strengthening and expressed hope for further close cooperation in sports.

During the visit to Beijing, the Uzbek delegation visited National Training Center, Andi-Doping Center, University of Sports, National Research Institute of Sport Medicine and other sport objects.
