Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 30 October to 12 November, the Asian adult boxing championship was held in the capital of Jordan, Amman.

The men’s team of Uzbekistan took first place in the team event with 5 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals, and the women’s squad received 1 gold, silver and bronze medals each. Tonight, domestic masters of leather gloves, who showed good results, were solemnly welcomed.

At the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov, boxers were met by NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, First Deputy Chairman of the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan Saken Polatov, Advisor to the Minister of Sports Development Avaz Karimov.

Congratulating the athletes on the achieved result, the officials wished them to continue to adequately defend the honor of our country at various major competitions, in particular, at the Tashkent-2023 World Championships, as well as at the Hangzhou-2022 Asian Games.
