Uzbekistan moves to 53rd place in new FIFA ranking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national team jumped two places up and now holds 53rd place in new FIFA ranking.

Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) announced its new ranking of national teams on 10 April 2014.

Uzbekistan is on the third place in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the fourth in the CIS region.

Uzbekistan is behind Iran (37th place) and Japan (47) in Asia and Ukraine (17), Russia (18) and Armenia (33) in the CIS.

Spain, Germany and Portugal are top three nations in the FIFA ranking.
