Uzbekistan moves 2 places up in new FIFA ranking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) announced its new ranking of national teams on 13 March 2014.

According to new ranking of FIFA, Uzbekistan moved two places up and now holds 55th place in the world in new ranking.

Uzbekistan is on the third place in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the fourth in the CIS region.

Uzbekistan is behind Iran (42nd place) and Japan (48) in Asia and Ukraine (18), Russia (19) and Armenia (41) in the CIS.

Spain, Germany and Argentina are top three nations in the FIFA ranking.
